JASP.ER: quattro percorsi, un unico sogno. Incontriamo Pond, Santa, Aou e Joong a The A Festival

English Version

Hello, Outsiders!

Today, we're back with another interview, coming to you from The A Festival, which took place at the Paris Event Center on the 24th and 25th of October.

On this occasion, we had the chance to have a chat, together with three other wonderful colleagues from KCE, ActuKoncerts and ViviSaar, with one of the most sensational groups from Thailand. Four members who were already known for their previous roles in BL series and who, now coming together in this new way of expressing their artistry, have managed to truly bring, as their group name suggest, a gem to life.

Pond, Santa, Aou and Joong have been able to capture the hearts of thousands of fans, thanks to their talent and the unique chemistry they share, earning the support of people from all over the world. Their success is also reflected in the fact that they recently sold out, in just a few seconds, all three days of their first-ever concert as a group at Bangkok's Impact Arena.

With us...JASP.ER!

As always, let's give them a warm welcome and...begin!

Kpop Concerts Europe: The A Festival will be your first and only European appearance of 2026. What are you most looking forward to, and which song are you most excited to perform?

Pond: Yes, actually, this is our first time coming to France as JASP.ER. To be honest, we're really, really happy to be here. We're also really, really excited! We've seen so many fans waiting for us and showing us so much support and encouragement. As for the song we'd like to perform, it would be one of our new songs, "Wish". I've also seen fans doing dance challenges to it.

Santa: For me, what I'm most excited about is...this time I feel like we've gotten much closer to each other. We've been able to spend more time practicing together and perform together more as a group. Since this is our first time performing in Europe, I think it's going to be really exciting and a lot of fun!

I'm really excited and very happy that we get to meet everyone here.

As for the song we'd like to perform, I think we'd all choose the same one.

Aou: The most special thing about being here is that this is our last overseas concert of the year, and it's also leading up to our big concert. So  this trip is also a way for us to prepare for it.

Joong: Okay, I think this one is a really good chance to get one as a group. We practiced a lot before coming here and it's a good preparation before the big concert in two months.

ActuKoncerts: When four different personalities start working together, finding the right balance is important. What does each of you naturally bring to the group beyond your artistic role?

Pond: As a group, of course, the four of us all have different personalities. But one thing we have in common is that we share the same goal and passion for what we want to do.

It's something we all really want to do to the best of our abilities. This is something we've been working toward and dreaming about for a long time, and now it's finally happening. Seeing that there are people who want to support us and cheer us on makes us want to keep improving and getting better and better.

Santa: For me, what makes it special is that the four of us, despite having completely different personalities, have come together, and I feel that we actually share the same interests.

We all share a love for dancing. We all love performing as a boy group. And just like Pond said, we ultimately share the same goal, which helps us inspire each other and keep each other motivated.

Aou: Even though the four of us have different characters and personalities, and come from different backgrounds, each of us had our own journey before becoming artists.

Each of us had our own individual path. These three were trainees before becoming artists, and some of us used to do dance covers, too.

When these four different paths finally crossed, everything fell into place, and that's how JASP.ER came to be.

Joong: Even though we all have different personalities, we found out that our tastes in music are quite similar. We realized this when we were choosing songs for the concert, and it was easy to complete because we have similar tastes in music.

Outsider: The name JASP.ER is inspired not only by the initials of your names but also by the gemstone jasper, often associated with strength and perseverance. After the experiences you have shared since your debut, how do you feel these qualities have become part of your identity as a group?

Pond: I think this is the fulfillment of a dream that, at one point, I thought might never come true. As Aou mentioned, each of us had our own journey, auditioning for different opportunities, but things didn't always work out in the past.

At one point, we had the opportunity to work as actors, and we started to wonder when this dream would finally come true. But I think everything each of us went through on our own journey eventually led us to meet one another.

Even though the name JASP.ER represents each of us individually, I feel that when we come together, we become one. It's as if all our dreams have brought us to where we are today.

It's become something really precious to us in its own way. It's also a way for us to express ourselves, like another side of ourselves that we get to show.

Santa: I think it really comes down to our craziness and passion, honestly. We're crazy about dancing and always try to find time to practice together. Even though all four of us have our own responsibilities and busy schedules, we still make time for it.

Lately, we've all been really busy with work. Some of us have schedules that run from seven in the morning until ten at night. But we still make time to practice dancing from ten at night until midnight, or even one in the morning. I think that's one example of just how crazy and passionate we are about what we do.

Aou: If you ask what JASP.ER means to us, or what it has brought into our lives, I feel that it has given us a sense of responsibility. And it's the kind of exhaustion that makes us happy.

I don't think JASP.ER necessarily has to be a permanent part of our identity, but ever since it came into our lives...every time JASP.ER performs, there's a certain sexiness to it. I don't really know how to explain it, but seeing the fans' reactions and receiving their feedback somehow brings out even more of our sexy side.

Offstage, when we're not performing, we're actually very well-behaved and proper.

Joong: I feel that becoming part of JASP.ER has allowed me to discover another side of what it's like to work with other people as part of a group.

ViviSaar: Between a film set, a recording studio and a live stage, which environment feels the most like home for each of you?

Pond: Honestly, everything feels like home to us, whether it's acting in a drama or performing on stage. It's just a matter of knowing which skills to draw on and how to apply them in each situation so that we can feel at home.

For example, when we're filming a drama, we have to give it our all and make the filming set feel like a second home, where we can feel happy and comfortable. Likewise, when we're working on JASP.ER or preparing for a concert, we have to embrace that environment and make it feel like another home, too.

Joong: Actually it's not about the place, it's about the person or about the people. But actually my home is GMMTV!

Everywhere can be home with them, JASP.ER.

Santa: Yeah, honestly, every part of what we do truly feels like home to us. What I mean is, even though it might seem like we have many different homes, each and every one of them is incredibly important to our lives.

Aou: To me, home isn't a place. It's more about the people you're with.

I think anywhere we're surrounded by the people we care about will always feel like home to the four of us. Whether it's a drama set, the set of a JASP.ER music video, or even the stage we perform on, I feel like every place is warm and welcoming.

For example, on a film set, there are our senior colleagues and the people we work with in the series, who become our friends and spend time with us. That's what makes every place feel like home.

Would you like to leave some final words for your European fans?

Pond: I never imagined that I'd have fans here in Europe. It always felt like something that would be really difficult to achieve. So, I'm also a little surprised to see that we have so many fans here who come out to support and encourage us.

Before this, we'd only seen them through social media, but today, we're really, really happy that we finally get to see them with our own eyes and see so many people here supporting us and enjoying our music.

Santa: I just want to say thank you to all the fans for your support.

Thank you so much for all the support you've given us. We're literally on opposite sides of the world, we speak different languages, and there's a huge time difference between us. And yet...I don't know, it feels like there are so many things that make it difficult for you to support us, but everyone still tries so hard to show us their support, whether it's through social media or even by flying all the way to Thailand to see us.

I really want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your support. I know it's not easy, and I truly want to give back all the love you've given us.

Aou: I just want to say thank you. Even though we've never met or known each other personally, you support us and love us as if we were members of your own family.

It's been a really long and difficult journey for us to get to this point. It's taken us two years to finally make this happen.

This time in Paris, we have very, very little time to explore. But if we get the chance to come back next time, we'd love to spend a lot more time with all of you.

Joong: As a group, as JASP.ER, without you guys, we'd be like Paris without the Eiffel Tower.

Ciao, Outsiders!

ActuKoncerts: When four different personalities start working together, finding the right balance is important. What does each of you naturally bring to the group beyond your artistic role?

Pond: Come gruppo, ovviamente, noi quattro abbiamo tutti personalità diverse.

Aou: Voglio semplicemente dirvi grazie.
