Oggi voliamo in America con una band che conosciamo ed apprezziamo da anni.
Hanno iniziato la loro carriera, nel 2007,
grazie a YouTube e da lì è iniziato un grande percorso per loro che le ha portate in tour per il mondo, a pubblicare
numerosi EP e album, e a scrivere 2 libri. Rappresentano anche un valore a cui teniamo molto, il rapporto tra sorelle.

Diamole il nostro benvenuto e iniziamo!
'You look in the mirror and you don't like what you see' è una frase del vostro brano 'Believe in You' , se doveste guardarvi allo specchio ora, cosa direste a voi stesse del passato?
Direi che non state vedendo voi stessi in modo accurato! La verità è, siamo noi i peggiori critici di noi stessi. Le altre persone non pensano cose così critiche di te quanto non faccia tu stesso. Direi alla me più giovane di iniziare a notare le cose che in effettiva mi piacevano di me stessa e iniziare a concentrarmi su di esse. Le imperfezioni d'un tratto diventano meno orribili se ti ricordi anche delle cose buone di te stesso.
Pensando ad una delle vostre canzoni del 2014, 'I Got You' , quanto è importante per voi avere così un buon rapporto tra sorelle, specialmente nel fare musica e scrivere le vostre canzoni? E, se doveste scegliere un aggettivo per descrivervi a vicenda, quale sarebbe?
È molto importante per noi! Abbiamo anche avuto nostra sorella, Dani, lasciare la band a Gennaio e continuiamo ad amarla e sopportarla al 100%. Cerchiamo di essere parte della sua vita il più possibile perché il rapporto tra sorelle è così importante per noi. Saremo sempre sorelle in primis, e ciò viene prima di lavorare assieme come musiciste. Un aggettivo per descrivere il rapporto tra sorelle è "feroce". Siamo ferocemente leali, persone guidate e appassionate, e insieme siamo così concentrate nella nostra missione e avere davvero un impatto nella vita delle persone.
Nel vostro EP 'I Love You, Or Whatever' ci sono un paio di tracce come 'To Be a Human' e 'Summer in a Small Town' dove parlate solo, come vi è venuta l'idea di mettere questo tipo particolare di canzoni? Avete intenzione di farne altre di questo tipo?
Si, abbiamo avuto l'idea di fare alcune traccie di poesie parlate in quell'album! Volevamo solamente fare qualcosa di nuovo e creativo. Adoreremmo fare più tracce di quel tipo in futuro, specialmente perché i fan le hanno adorate!
Avete fatto tante cover Nel vostro canale YouTube in questi anni, qual è la vostra preferita fino ad ora e c'è un ricordo divertente che avete sul filmare il video per quella canzone?
Ogni fine dell'anno facciamo un video con le "Top Songs" con alcune delle canzoni più popolari di quell'anno. Quelle canzoni sono davvero divertenti perché ci sbizzarriamo con idee, coreografie e costumi per ricreare il music video originale in un modo divertente!
Siete state qui a Milano per un concerto nel 2016 per il vostro Up At Night Tour, avete in mente di tornare qui in futuro? E quale città italiana vi piacerebbe visitare?
SI! Abbiamo assolutamente adorato andare a Milano e non vediamo l'ora di ritornare di nuovo in Italia! Quando siamo state a Milano abbiamo mangiato uno dei pranzi più buoni della nostra vita- vari tipi diversi di pasta oltre che un tiramisù e altri dessert. Siamo italiane dalla parte della famiglia di nostro padre e siamo davvero orgogliose della nostra origine italiana. Amiamo l'Italia e ci piacerebbe tornare in una qualsiasi città italiana dove poter fare un concerto!

'You look in the mirror and you don't like what you see' it's a lyric from your single 'Believe in You' , if you had to look at the mirror right now, what you would say to yourself from the past?
I would say that you’re not seeing yourself accurately! The truth is, we are all our own worst critics. Other people are not usually thinking such critical things about you as you are about yourself. I would tell my younger self to start noticing the things I actually LIKED about myself and focus on those. The imperfections suddenly become less horrible if you remember all the good things about yourself, too.
Thinking about one of your songs from 2014, 'I Got You' , how important is for you having such a strong bond between sisters, especially in doing music and writing your songs? And if you had to choose an adjective to describe each other, what would it be?
It’s very important to us! We even had our sister, Dani, leave the band in January and we still love and support her 100%. We try to be a part of her life as much as we can because sisterhood is so important to us. We will always be sisters first, and that comes before working together as musicians. An adjective to describe our sisterhood is “fierce.” We are fiercely loyal, driven and passionate people, and together we are so focused on our mission and really making an impact in people’s lives.
In your EP 'I Love You, Or Whatever' there's a couple of tracks, like 'To Be a Human' and 'Summer in a Small Town' where you only talk, how did you had the idea to put this type of particular songs in it? Do you plan on doing more like that?
Yes, we had the idea to do some spoken word poetry tracks on that album! We just wanted to do something new and creative. We would definitely love to do more of those in the future, especially because the fans loved it!
You've done a lot of covers in your YouTube channel in all these years, what is your favourite so far and do you have a funny memory that you remember from filming the video for that song?
Every year at the end of the year we do a “Top Songs” video with some of the most popular songs from that year. Those songs are really fun and funny because we go all out with props, choreography and costumes to re-create the original music videos in a funny way!
You've been here in Milan for a concert in 2016 for your Up At Night Tour, do you plan to come back in the future? And what Italian city would you like to visit?
YES! We absolutely loved going to Milan and we’re dying to get back to Italy! While we were in Milan we ate one of the most amazing meals of our lives- a bunch of different kinds of pasta as well as tiramisu and different desserts! We’re Italian on our dad’s side of the family and we’re very proud of our Italian heritage. We love Italy and we’d love to come back to any Italian cities where we could have a concert!
