Chase ha scritto la canzone con il produttore T.I Jakke, che ha scritto e prodotto brani per artisti come Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez, Enrique Iglesias, Tini e Alvaro Soler.
Jakke in precedenza ha co-scritto il singolo "Kings & Queens" di Ava Max, che sarà presto doppio disco di platino negli Stati Uniti, così come ha anche prodotto e co-scritto il singolo "Color" di Chase, che è stato pubblicato il 17 febbraio. Dopo aver perfezionato la produzione della canzone con Jakke, Chase la portò a Blanco per collaborare alla voce.
"Una volta che Anna mi ha mostrato la canzone, non c'è stato dubbio sul lavorare su di esso con lei", ha detto Blanco. "Questa canzone ci ricorda ciò che conta di più, avere qualcuno nella tua vita che cura tutto".
Essendo la prima volta che la coppia lavora insieme, Chase e Blanco cantano su come l'amore ha curato tutto il dolore della loro vita, attribuendo le loro relazioni come l'antitodo finale.
"Spero che la gente si senta sollevata e felice ascoltando questa canzone", ha detto Chase. "A volte l'amore è tutto ciò di cui abbiamo bisogno".
Loki Artist Group today announced the March 26th release of “Antídoto” an upbeat pop song about love by Disney star and singer Jorge Blanco and Latin singer/songwriter Anna Chase. An accompanying lyric video will be released on March 30th.
Chase wrote the song with producer T.I Jakke, who has written and produced tracks for artists such as Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez, Enrique Iglesias and Tini and Alvaro Soler. Jakke previously co-wrote Ava Max’s global #1 hit “Kings & Queens” which is soon-to-be double platinum in the U.S. and also produced and co-wrote Chase’s single “Color” which was released February 17th. After finalizing the song with Jakke, Chase brought it to Blanco.
“Once Anna showed me the song, it was a no brainer that I wanted to work on it with her,” said Blanco. “This song reminds us about what matters the most, having someone in your life that cures everything.”
Being the pair’s first time collaborating together, Chase and Blanco sing about how their love has cured all pain in their life, having their relationship serve as the ultimate antidote.
“I hope people feel uplifted and happy listening to this song,” said Chase. “Sometimes love is all we need.”
