 Con noi oggi un super ospite internazionale.

 Un artista con vari talenti, ha avuto ruoli in film e serie tv di successo. È anche un cantautore con vari singoli all'attivo che potete trovare su tutte le sue piattaforme ufficiali, e di cui parleremo oggi.

 Lui è...Andrew Matarazzo!

 Siamo tanto entusiaste di averlo tra di noi quindi diamogli il nostro più caloroso benvenuto e iniziamo.

Iniziamo da una semplice ma importante domanda, cosa significa per te la musica e qual'è la cosa più importante che hai imparato da essa?

 Per me, la musica è il mio modo di dare senso alle mie esperienze e chiudere capitoli sulle cose.

Quando scrivo canzoni, mi ha veramente insegnato a dare voce a tante emozioni travolgenti che potrebbero rimanere bloccate altrimenti, o anche tirare fuori un lato di me che non uso spesso. Scrivo da esperienze personali o da un personaggio che sento.

 Se dovessi rappresentare ciò visivamente e rappresentarti come artista attraverso un'immagine, come sarebbe e perché?

 Forse una cinepresa o uno schermo cinematografico?  Mi sembra di pensare sempre alle cose visivamente prima di iniziare a creare una canzone. Ho immagini e sentimenti prima di trovare le parole.

 Parlando di canzoni, hai un nuovo singolo che è appena uscito, Blood, potresti raccontarci di più a riguardo e della scelta di questo titolo particolare? Cosa vorresti che sentano le persone quando lo ascolteranno? E, c'è un posto che ti porti nel cuore, dove vorresti andare ovunque nel mondo, che ti aiuta a trarre ispirazione per la tua musica?

 (Blood è uscita il 4 Marzo) Ho scritto questa canzone originariamente per il film di Teen Wolf, e dopo ho provato per lo show Wolfpack. Alla fine, non ha trovato un posto nel montaggio finale, ma quello è ciò che avevo in mente quando l'ho iniziata. L'idea dietro al testo è lasciare che la versione più potente di te stesso prenda il controllo, e “voler vedere il Sangue,” - andare all in e dare tutto te stesso. Vorrei che le persone sentissero di essere toste quando l'ascolteranno.

 Ogni volta che viaggio mi sento ispirato e mi stacco dalla mia routine quotidiana quindi ho tante idee e motivazione nel creare.

 Se potessi scegliere un palco ed uno scenario specifico per avere un concerto ed esibirti, come immagineresti che fosse?

 Come la mia musica, ho momenti vulnerabili e momenti più allegri, quindi adorerei uno show che abbia un giusto equilibrio di intimità e semplicità mescolata ad alcuni elementi visivi pazzeschi. Immagino che gli elementi visivi avrebbero un ruolo importante.

 Immagina di avere la possibilità di avere la musica in forma umana, sempre accanto a te, e, come il genio nella lampada, potesse esaudire e tuoi desideri...cosi vorresti da essa?

  Al momento con la situazione in cui è il mondo, penso ne userei almeno 2 per poter risolvere alcune cose. Userei l'ultimo per assicurarmi di poter vivere sempre facendo qualcosa che amo e che mi appassiona.

 Sappiamo che sei stato in Italia, hai qualche dolce o divertente ricordo legato ad essa? E, se dovessi scegliere una canzone che ti ricorda del tuo viaggio qui, quale sarebbe?

 Ho visitato la casa d'infanzia di mio nonno con lui, a Verona, prima che ci lasciasse. È stato un momento così speciale per me.

 Ho scritto una canzone Omertà, ispirata da Il Padrino ed il cinema Italo-Americano, quindi penso sempre all'Italia e l'ispirazione che ho tratto da essa quando ho fatto quella traccia e video.

 Basandoci sul nome del nostro sito, Outsider...Tutti possono essere degli outsiders ad certo un punto della nostra vita, fuori dall'ordinario nel miglior modo possibile...artisticamente parlando, cosa pensi ti possa rendere un outsider?

 Penso che quando sei diverso o così sicuro nel tuo senso di essere te stesso, le persone potrebbero sentirsi a disagio con te, e va bene. Non tutti devono capirti.

 Potresti fare un saluto ai lettori di Outsider e tutti i tuoi fans?

  “Se non mi conoscevate prima, piacere di  conoscervi! E se mi conosci invece, grazie per essere rimasto e supportarmi attraverso la mia crescita come artista! Sono così entusiasta di sapere la vostra opinione sul mio nuovo singolo, Blood ed il video che uscirà!"

 Today with us a super international guest.

 An artist with many talents, he had roles in movies and successful series. He's also a singer and songwriter with many singles that you can find on all his official platforms, and that we will talk about today.

 He is...Andrew Matarazzo!

We're very excited to have him with us so let's give him the warmest welcome and begin.

Let's start with quite a simple but very important question, what does music mean to you and what is the most meaningful thing you learned by it? 

 For me, music is my way of making sense of my experiences and closing chapters on things. When songwriting, it’s really taught me how to voice a lot of overwhelming emotions that might feel stuck, or even bring out a side of myself that I don’t often use. I write from either personal experiences or from a persona I’m feeling.

If you had to represent this visually and represent you as an artist through a picture, what would it look like and why?

 Maybe a movie camera or movie screen? I always feel like I think of things visually before I start creating the song. I have images and feelings before I find the words. 

 Talking about songs, you have a new single that just came out, Blood, could you tell us more about it and the choice of that particular title? What would you like people to feel when they'll listen to it? And, is there a place you keep cose to your heart, where you like to go anywhere in the world, that helps you get the right inspiration for your music?

 (Blood came out March 4th) I originally wrote this song for the Teen Wolf movie, and later they tried it for the show Wolfpack. In the end, it didn’t find a right spot in the final cut, but that was what I had in mind when I started it. The idea behind the lyrics is letting your most powerful self take over, and “going for Blood,” - going all in and giving it your all. I want people to feel bad ass when they listen to it.

 Anytime I travel really I am inspired and feel removed from my day-to-day so I get a lot of ideas and motivation to create. 

 If could choose a specific stage and scenario to have a concert and perform in, how do you imagine it to be? 

 Like my music, I have vulnerable moments and more upbeat moments, so I’d love a show that has a good balance of intimacy and simpleness mixed with some crazy visuals. I imagine the visuals would play a big part.

 Imagine you had the possibility to have music in a human form, always beside you, and, like the genie in the lamp, it could grant you 3 wishes...what would you want from it? 

 Right now with the state of the world, I think I would use at least two on fixing some of it. The last one I’d use on just making sure I can always make a living doing something I love and am passionate about.

 We know you've been in Italy, do you have any sweet or funny memory related to it? And, if you had to choose any song that reminds of your trip here, what would you choose? 

 I visited my grandfathers childhood home with him, in Verona, just before he passed. It was such a special moment for me. 

 I wrote a song Omertà, inspired by The Godfather and Italian-American cinema, so I always think of Italy and the inspiration I pulled from there when I made that track and video.

 Based on the name of our site, Outsider...Everyone can be an outsider at some point in our lives, out of the ordinary in the best way possible...artistically speaking, what do you think can make you an outsider? 

 I think when you’re different or so confident in your own sense of self, people might be uncomfortable with you, and that’s okay. Not everyone has to get you.
