A talented actress with many prominent roles to the credit, she recently took part in the drama Pyramid Game, as Jaehyung, a character with a strong charisma that has been able to capture the hearts of the viewers at first sight.
With us... Oh Seeun!
As always, let’s give her a warm welcome and begin!
Let’s start with a simple question, how did your passion for acting started and how did you get into it?
At the age of 10, the drama <The moon embracing the sun> became popular.
When I was 15 years old, I saw actress 'Kim Yujeong' and started to dream about becoming an actress thinking “it's cool”.
By chance, I started learning acting by going back and forth to Seoul every weekend at the recommendation of my acquaintance.
Talking about Pyramid Game, where you play Song Jaehyung, how would you describe her and her dynamic with the other characters in a few words and is there a specific a memory from filming on set that your particularly fond of?
‘Jaehyung’ is a fan of 'MONSTA X'. She doesn't care unless she's the one she likes. She felt familiar with ‘Jaeun’, who protected and cared for her. Together, they help 'Suji' and collapse the pyramid. She is a smart and pleasant character.
The ‘festival scene’ was the most fun and good. I felt like I was enjoying the festival as a high school student again. I remember eating delicious snacks and enjoying the festival together.
Always about Jaehyung, one of the scenes where she's introduced to us is of her taking photos around the school, if you could represent her with a picture, what would it look like?
‘Jaehyung’ is a character who likes a beautiful body. It could be "beautiful body" or "because a person is cool." I think she express her affection with photos. Like someone who likes to take pictures of celebrities and set them as a phone background?
Now going back to another character you've played, Hong Junhui in Duty After School, what is something you think is similar between her and Song Jaehyung, and thinking about the Pyramid Game itself with the various classes, and back your character in Duty After School, what rank would you put her in? (As in class A,B,C,D or F)
I think what the two have in common is honest expression of emotion.
‘Hong Junhui’ was also a person who was honest with her emotions. ‘Jaehyung’ is also a honest person to the person she likes.
I think ‘Hong Junhui’ is about C grade. She's friendly with all her friends but naughty. I think C grade is appropriate because it's not a favorable type for everyone.
You’ve played various roles in your career so far, if you had to describe yourself as an artist through a quote by one of them, what would it be and why?
‘Jaehyung’ makes her first appearance in Part 3, saying, "Hey, guys!" Like this, I want to be seen as a special and unique, attractive person to everyone.
What advice would you give to people who would like to pursue acting as career?
Believe in yourself and run until the end. Emotional expression is also important.
Also, the actor should have a good diction and vocalization. You should learn the basics and start without rushing.
I hope you don't give up and cheer up until the end even if you fail an audition.
Last our brand question, based on the name of our site, what makes you an outsider, out of the ordinary and unique in a positive way, as an artist and in life in general?
‘Oh Seeun’ and artist ‘Oh Seeun’ are not different or special. However, I care a lot about the basic acting and vocalization that I should have as an artist. And I exercise hard so that I can be healthy and beautiful. I think that's the speciality of the artist ‘I'.

Una talentuosa attrice con molti ruoli di spicco all'attivo, recentemente ha preso parte al drama Pyramid Game, nei panni di Jaehyung, un personaggio dal forte carisma che ha saputo catturare i cuori degli spettatori a prima vista.

Come sempre, diamole un caloroso benvenuto e cominciamo!
Iniziamo con una semplice domanda, come è iniziata la tua passione per la recitazione e come sei entrata in questo mondo?
All'età di 10 anni, il drama <The moon embracing the sun> è diventato popolare.
Quando avevo 15 anni, ho visto l'attrice 'Kim Yujeong' ed ho iniziato a sognare di diventare un attrice pensando "è cool".
Per caso, ho iniziato ad imparare recitazione andando avanti e indietro a Seoul ogni fine settimana su raccomandazione di una mia conoscenza.
Parlando di Pyramid Game, dove interpreti Song Jaehyung, come descriveresti lei e la sua dinamica con gli altri personaggi in poche parole e c'è un ricordo specifico delle riprese sul set a cui sei particolarmente legata?
'Jaehyung' è una fan dei 'MONSTA X'. Non le importa a meno che non sia qualcosa che le piace. Ha sentito un senso di famigliarità con 'Jaeun', che la proteggeva e si prendeva cura di lei. Insieme, aiutano 'Suji' e fanno crollare la piramide. È un personaggio intelligente e piacevole.
La 'scena del festival' è stata la più divertente e bella. Mi sono sentita come se mi stessi godendo il festival come una studentessa di nuovo. Ricordo di aver mangiato deliziosi spuntini e di essermi goduta il festival tutte insieme.
Sempre riguardo Jaehyung, una delle scene in cui è introdotta al pubblico è quella in cui scatta foto per la scuola, se potessi rappresentarla con una foto, come sarebbe?
'Jaehyung' è un personaggio a cui piace un bel corpo. Potrebbe essere "bel corpo" o "perché una persona è cool." Penso che esprima il suo affetto con le foto. Come qualcuno a cui piace scattare foto di celebrità e metterle come sfondo del telefono?
Ora tornando ad un altro personaggio che hai interpretato, Hong Junhui in Duty After School, cosa pensi sia simile tra lei e Song Jaehyung, e pensando al Pyramid Game stesso con le varie classi, e di nuovo al tuo personaggio in Duty After School, in che graduatoria la metteresti? (Classe A, B, C, D o F)
Penso che ciò che hanno in comune è l'espressione onesta delle emozioni.
'Hong Junhui' anche è una persona onesta con le sue emozioni. 'Jaehyung' è inoltre una persona onesta con la persona che le piace.
Penso che 'Hong Junhui' sia nella classe C. È amichevole con tutti i suoi amici, ma scherzosa. Penso che il grado C sia appropriato perché non è un tipo favorevole per tutti.
Hai interpretato diversi ruoli nella tua carriera finora, se dovessi descriverti come artista attraverso una citazione di uno di loro, quale sarebbe e perché?
'Jaehyung' fa la sua prima apparizione nella parte 3, dicendo, "Ehi, ragazzi!" così, voglio essere vista come una persona attraente, speciale e unica da tutti.
Che consiglio daresti a chi vorrebbe intraprendere una carriera attoriale?
Credi in te stesso e corri fino alla fine. L'espressione emotiva è anche importante.
Inoltre, l'attore dovrebbe avere una buona dizione e vocalizzazione. Dovresti imparare le basi e iniziare senza fretta.
Spero che tu non ti arrenda e rallegrarti fino alla fine, anche se dovessi fallire un'audizione.
Infine la nostra domanda di rito, basata sul nome del nostro sito, cosa ti rende un'outsider, fuori dal comune e unica in modo positivo, come artista e nella vita in generale?
'Oh Seeun' e l'artista 'Oh Seeun' non sono diversi o speciali. Tuttavia, mi interessa molto le basi della recitazione e la vocalizzazione che dovrei avere come artista. E mi alleno duramente per essere sana e bella. Penso che questa sia la mia specialità come artista.
